Harriet Gordon

Psychotherapist & Counsellor

I am an experienced Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychotherapist, working with my team to support children, young people and adults suffering from a range of complex emotional, relational and behavioural issues such as acute anxiety (panic attacks, ticks, dissociation), depression, suicide ideation, abuse, ADHD presentation and family issues.

I have worked within a CAMHS team in London, a Rape & Sexual Abuse Service and in schools with young people. As well as my private practice in London SW3 for face-to-face consultations, I also offer online sessions.  I run a specialised therapeutic service for schools working in challenging social areas.  My work often entails working closely with safeguarding teams, parents, staff and larger networks around the young person.

I gained an MA in Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock & Portman Trust and continued my interest in working with acute complexities by studying at The Portman, assessing and working with risk. In 2023, I completed core training with ISTDP London, which is an accelerated form of dynamic psychotherapy. This active approach focuses on processing emotional blockages and changing maladaptive response patterns which are responsible for symptoms such as anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties.

I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for trainers and students who may be struggling financially.

My team and I work both online and from my consulting rooms in the Sidney Smith Buildings in Sloane Square, London, SW3.

Please contact me for a free 15 minute consultation.  I will then allocate clients to the appropriate team member based on availability and suitability.
